Today in Gujarat High Court, complaints of contempt of court Gujarat’s top officials inc DGP PC Thakur and Police Commissioner Shivanand Jha , GR Aloria and 2 Police Inspectors for illegal gold furnace in Manek Chowk area of Ahmedabad. No police complaint was lodged in connection with illegal gold furnace in Manek Chowk about which Gujarat High Court had given directive.
Applicant submitted to Gujarat HC quoted violation of Supreme Court’s directive on which AMC Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation had given affidavit assuring closing of furnace. HC asked applicant to produce AMC affidavit. Hearing in the case will be held 2 weeks later, as per sources.
