From December 25 Christmas, Air India has started Surat-Mumbai flight from Christmas with a frequency of 3 days a week, Surat-Mumbai flight. With this initiation, Surat will reconnect to Mumbai via air route after gap of over a year. A 72-seat ATR aircraft will be operational for this service. Surat was previously connected to Mumbai through SpiceJet flight. The service was stopped after buffalo hit at Surat airport. The Air India flight would operate to Mumbai airport on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7.15 am and reach Surat at 8.10 am. It will leave Surat at 9.10 am and reach Mumbai at 10.05 am. In addition to fast and smooth journey to Mumbai, the citizens of Surat will also get international connectivity by this new service of flight via Mumbai.
