Two swine flu patients of Gujart died during this season. A 45-year-old woman from Aravalli district died of swine flu at Ahmedabad Civil Hospital on August 14. A 58-year-old man from Amreli also succumbed to H1N1 virus at Rajkot Civil Hospital on August 12.
As per experts, fall in temperature and humidity make the air dense and the deadly H1N1 virus thrives in such weather. H1N1 influenza is one of the most deadly respiratory infections. Low temperatures favour the growth of viruses and rain doesn’t allow the virus spread to ebb.
