Today Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel took first hand review of relief and rescue operations to ensure normalcy at earliest in flood affected regions of North Gujarat. While officials are trying to restore electricity and water supply, work in most areas incl worst hit Banaskantha will be completed in 2-3 days. Several NDRF, BSF, IAF and Indian Army teams have joined efforts to expedite relief and rescue operations and more are expected to join tomorrow. During relief operations in North Gujarat, 16 sorties were made and 71 affected people were rescued by helicopters and moved to safer locations.
