Ahmedabad is preparing for Rath Yatra, Traditional 138th procession of Lord Jagannath in the city, commencing from Jamalpur’s Jannath Temple on Thursday 18th July.
In Ahmedabad , the procession is also taken out in western area, organised by the Swaminarayan Gurukul at Memnagar and ISKCON Temple.
Preparations for this procession are underway for last one month. This time it will be 8th consecutive year of Lord Jagannath’s procession, which will start at 2.00 pm and go around Subhash Chowk , Uganda Society, Sola Road, Bhuyangadeva Cross Road, Vishramnagar and will return in the evening through Vivekanand Chowk Gurukul at Memnagar .
ISKCON Temple sources said that procession will start from 4 pm at Shyamal Cross Road and 35 feet high Lord Jagannath 35 will be seated in a chariot and go around western city.
