Today, in indian state of Gujarat, commemorating the formation of the state of Maharashtra from the division of the Bombay State on 1 May 1960. Gujarat formation Day is also known as Gujarat Gaurav Divas, commonly associated with parades and political speeches from ruling and opposition parties and ceremonies, in addition to various other public and private events celebrating the history and traditions of Gujarat state.
