Today in Kolhapur, renowned actress Baby Shakuntala passed away at 82 in a private hospital  following old-age related illness, as per family sources.

She is survived by son, daughter and grandchildren.

Umadevi Nadgonde, popularly known as Baby Shakuntala, began acting at the age of six and made her silver screen debut in Prabhat film company’s ‘Daha Vajata’.
