Today as many as 28 people have been killed, including a Navy officer and foreign visitors, after terrorists attacked a popular tourist location of Pahalgam in South Kashmir, according to sources.
Jammu & Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah though said the death toll is still being ascertained, and will be announced officially later. “This attack is much larger than anything we’ve seen directed at civilians in recent years,” he said on ,former Twitter, X.Condemning the terror attack on tourists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi said that those behind the heinous act will be brought to justice. Mr. Modi held a telephonic talk with Union Home Minister Amit Shah following the terrorist attack, and directed him to take all necessary measures in response to the incident. HM has rushed to Srinagar for an urgent security review meeting with all concerned agencies.
