Today in a very important verdict by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate VK Sambad of Vadodara, on Harni boat tragedy. Twelve Victim families who lost their children in the tragic Harni Lake boat capsized incident will be paid a compensation of ₹ 31,75,700 each. Also the families of two teachers who lost their lives will be paid a compensation of ₹16,68,029 each. Two people injured will be paid a compensation of ₹50,000 each. The compensation will be paid with 9% Annual Interest, effective from the date PIL Public Interest Litigation was filed until the recovery is complete.
The verdict in the case was given after 1 year.
