Today Ahmedabad rural court has rejected anticipatory bail plea of Sanjay Patoliya director of Khyati Multispeciality Hospital, Decision on Rajshri Kothari’s bail application for December 5. Patoliya was arrested by Crime Branch. In the Angioplasty scam total 7 persons including Chirag Rajput and other accused have been jailed, among other directors including Patoliya and Kothari had applied for anticipatory bail.
Public prosecutor stated that directors are equally responsible for the scam where innocent people were brought as patients and their surgeries were conducted forcefully without their consent. Patoliya is partner of 39% stake in the hospital. It was exposed that directors were forced to fetch maximum gain from PMJAY scheme in the meetings. State requested the court not to grant anticipatory bail as a thorough investigation is yet to be carried out on all the directors. Considering state’s request, the court rejected the anticipatory bail of Patoliya and scheduled a hearing for Kothari’s bail on Thursday.
