National Constitution Day celebrated by Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar

Today On the occasion of National Constitution Day under leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, a preamble reading program of the Indian Constitution was organized at Gandhinagar in the presence of state ministers, top officials, constitutional experts and other dignitaries.

CM Patel said that with the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Constitution Day is being celebrated from the year 2015 to reveal the spirit of national interest among citizens through constitutional values. Calling the Constitution of India a scripture, CM remembered sons and daughters of Gujarat who contributed significantly in making of the Constitution. The Chief Minister apprised everyone about the measures beneficial to the nation as a result of the Constitution and appealed to all to unite with a sense of nationalism and resolve to build a ‘Developed Gujarat, Developed India’.

Constitution Day also known as ‘Samvidhan Divas’, is celebrated in our country on 26th November every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. On 26th November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, which came into effect from 26th January 1950.
