Separate FIRs have been filed in 5 districts against Youth Congress National Spokesperson Kapil Desai on the issue of increase in grade pay of Gujarat Police staff.A petition was filed in Gujarat High Court on the issue. In the judgment given by the High Court, FIRs filed in all the five districts were quashed.Youth Congress national spokesperson Kapil Desai, social activist Rajesh Vadher and Kalpesh Chaudhary have been booked by the government in 5 districts of Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, Dang, with an intention of curbing the fight for Gujarat Police Salary Hike (Rs 2800 Grade Pay). During festival of Raksha Bandhan, he was kept in police custody for 14 days in different police stations and items including mobile phones were taken away from him.
