Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University hosts Seminar on ‘Recent Trends in Engineering’

Gandhinagar, July 28, 2024: With a view to make students aware of the new technologies and their applications in engineering, Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University recently hosted a seminar on “Recent Trends in Engineering ” at the university’s Seminar Hall. Some 107 participants from various engineering branches including Mechanical, Automobile, Civil, Chemical & Environment, Computer, IT and Electrical Engineering participated in the event. The seminar was facilitated by Mr Jagdip Punia, Senior General Manager at Amber Enterprise India Limited, Gurgaon.

Prof. Hardik Prajapati, Head of the Department of Mechanical and Automobile Engineering, coordinated the event on behalf of Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University.

The seminar discussed a series of current challenges, showcased innovative projects, and facilitated industry-academia partnerships.

Mr Punia’s seminar provided useful insights into the latest advancements in engineering, highlighting the transformative potential of new-age technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, and Robotics.

“The latest advancements in engineering are revolutionizing problem-solving and innovation. The convergence of AI, IoT, and robotics is transforming the engineering landscape, with endless possibilities. Sustainability and environmental considerations are finally taking center stage, which is crucial for a better future,” he said during the address.

He talked about the importance of sustainability and the rise of digital twins and simulation-based design in creating efficient and sustainable engineering solutions.

The event also saw the launch of Mr Punia’s book, “Rise to Your Full Potential,” which was followed by an interactive session with students and faculty.  The seminar played a key role in improving the awareness and understanding of students about the latest engineering trends.
