Today New Zealand’s Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Winston Peters and delegation paid a courtesy visit to Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar and showed their interest in cooperation with Gujarat in sectors like Agri Business and Center of Excellence, Maritime Coordination, Food Security, Dairy Farming, Renewable Energy and Green Hydrogen, and Tourism.
Talking about the prospects of Gujarat’s education collaboration with New Zealand, Chief Minister Patel said that in National Education Policy under leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, special emphasis has been laid on skill development and employability along with higher education. He also made a suggestion for New Zealand companies to take advantage of growing digital ecosystem, including fintech, in Gift City.
The meeting also aimed on formation of a Joint Cooperation Committee for continuous consultation to strengthen allies of cooperation between Gujarat and New Zealand.
