8 SIMI terrorists killed in encounter who fled Bhopal Jail

Today morning after Bhopal Central Jail break out, in 8 hours  Madhya Pradesh police and ATS Anti-Terrorist squad  chased and killed 8 SIMI Student Islamic Movement of India terrorists who  killed a head constable and scaling the walls of the ‘high-security’ premises using prison bed sheets. SIMI terrorists were cornered and gunned down some 10 km away from the jail, on the outskirts of the city, in a joint operation of the city police, a counter terrorist group (CTG) and an ATS team. Based on information they received from villagers in the area, police located the terrorists near Manikheda, which comes under the Gunga police station. 8-simia

When the terrorists were confronted by a few of the villagers, they started pelting stones. Villagers mistook them for robbers and alerted the police. When they were asked to surrender, they opened fire, forcing the police to retaliate. Two policemen were also injured in the encounter which lasted for nearly an hour. They were carrying dates and other food materials with them. Efforts are being made to trace the identity of those who supported them in the jail break . Meanwhile, MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan said four police officials have been suspended and that the NIA will probe the jail-break. He said he spoke to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and suggested the NIA should carry out the investigation in the matter. 8-simib
