The three-day integrated conference and exhibition will bring together the global foundry industry and play the role of a catalyst in helping the industry reach the pre-pandemic levels. First Global physical foundry event is taking place after a gap of 2 years at Gandhinagar/Ahmedabad.
April 15, 2022, Ahmedabad: The 70th Indian Foundry Congress, the 18th International Exhibition on Foundry Technology, Equipment, Supplies and Services (IFEX), and the Cast India Expo will take place in Gandhinagar from April 17 to 19.
The Indian foundry industry is ranked second globally with the production of 10 million tons per annum. It also caters foreign markets of automobile tractors, power train, railways, energy and engineering.
Organized by the Institute of Indian Foundrymen, Western Region, the Indian Foundry Congress, IFEX, and Cast India Expo is a three-day integrated conference and exhibition. It will take place at Helipad Ground Exhibition Centre.
The theme of the 70th Indian Foundry Congress and IFEX 2022 is “Business Beyond Boundaries”. It will create an excellent networking opportunity for the foundry industry to explore new business opportunities and collaborations.
“The 70th Indian Foundry Congress will also witness a host of knowledge sharing activities such as panel discussions, presentations, and workshops. The event will bring together foundry industry leaders from India and across the globe, policymakers, business leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs, and provide a unique platform to exchange ideas, experiences and best practices in foundry management and technology. Leading Indian and international casting buyers from different industries are also taking part in the three-day event.” said Devendra Jain, President IIF.
Like all other industries, the foundry industry is also hit hard by the pandemic situation. Current war crisis has worsened the situation and uncertainty for raw material supply and fluctuality in costing. More than 230 exhibitors are participating in the IFEX Exhibition. Exhibition is first time 100% ATAMANIRBHAR without any foreign participation.
“The foundry industry was hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic, but things are looking up. The economy has made a smart recovery, and the time is right to host a mega-event that will bring together the local and global foundry industry. The 70th Indian Foundry Congress and IFEX 2022 is among the first few large-scale industry events since the pandemic situation started easing and has received an excellent response with companies from India and overseas taking part. We are confident it will play the role of a catalyst in helping the foundry industry reach the pre-pandemic levels,” said Subodh Panchal, Chairman, Organizing Committee, 70th Indian Foundry Congress.
