40 countries of Africa to be part of business convention in Ahmedabad from Dec 1

In Ahmedabad, for ‘I for Afrika’ business convention, hundreds of business delegates from over 40 key African countries including South Africa, Egypt, Algeria, Cameron, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, Namibia, Nigeria and Zimbabwe will participate to be held from December 1 to 4 at GMDC ground. Today a press briefing was done by Secretary General of Indo-African Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IACCI), the organizer of the event said “the vision of the Chamber and for I for Afrika initiative is “Make Africa Your Partner’.

She said that 108 African international chambers of commerce,118 local chambers of commerce in India, 38 International Trade Fair Authorities in various African countries, 136 trade bodies who are promoting bilateral trade with Africa are affiliated with the upcoming event which would bring together business representatives, government officials, entrepreneurs, Investors, design makers and managers both from India and Africa and provide an opportunity to meet and interact with African business delegates.

The main objective of ‘I for Afrika’ initiative is to target new business opportunities, create a networking platform for B2B meetings, showcase the Indian capabilities and skill development, establish business links with more than 40 African countries and to plan strategies which in turn assist Indian businessman to increase India’s share in Africa in key sectors like Agro & Food Industry , Constructions , Infrastructure, Energy & Power , IT & Telecom , Textiles, Fabrics, Apparels , Health Care & Pharma , Engineering – Machinery, Metals, Rolling Mills, Tubes & Pipes , SME Projects , General Trading , Transport & Logistics , Education – Training , Tourism and Hospitality etc. Africa is upcoming attractive hub for foreign investors in light of various economic, political and social reforms that are sweeping across the continent which have resulted into conducive business environment.’ The world’s burgeoning population needs to be fed and Africa, our continent, is well positioned to do so,’.
