Water level of Sardar Sarovar Dam has increased. The water level of Sardar Sarovar Dam has reached 135.29 meters. At present, 2,01,961 cusecs of water has been received in the dam. Influx of water released from Omkareshwar dam is increasing. Over 4 lakh cusecs of water will be released by opening 23 gates of the dam at 10 pm tonight. Due to which the Sardar Sarovar Dam Flood Control Office has issued another warning, difficulties of the villages on along the banks of Narmada river have increased.
Constant release of water from Omkareshwar Dam in MP Madhya Pradesh has increased level of Sardar Sarovar Dam. Due to the influx of water, water level of the dam has reached 135.29 meters. Even then, due to water revenue, Narmada dam gates will be opened tonight to release 4.05 lakh cusecs of water in Narmada river. Sardar Sarovar Dam Flood Control Office issued a warning saying that at 10 o’clock in the night of 15th August. 23 gates of Sardar Sarovar Dam will be opened by 1.90 meters and 4 lakh cuses water will be released from the dam into Narmada river.
Water Income is coming from Upstream of dams due to which water level in Narmada dam has increased.
The dam currently has 1221.62 MCMof live storage water. Power houses of 2 dams are runniing in MP Madhya Pradesh due to power demand. Due to which the water level in Narmada Dam is rising. Summer of year 2022 has just begun.
