4 Additional DG promoted to DG by Gujarat Government

Today in Gandhingara, 4 IPS Police Officers of Gujarat Cadre were promoted from post of Additional DG to DG.

On Monday evening, 4 senior IPS Officers Vipul Bijoy, AK Suroliya, Mohan Jha and TS Bisht were promoted with posting at the same place.

Incharge DGP Pramod Kumar  IPS batch 1983 is Superannuating in coming February. He may get further extension. 1983 IPS Batch of Gujarat Cadre, Additional DG of Traffic Branch Vipul Bijoy is promoted to DG post. Also, 1985 IPS batch Gujarat Cadre AK Suroliya with 2 other batchmates Mohan Jha and Jail Supreintendent TS Bisht is promoted to DG post from existing post of Additional DG.

With promotion by Gujarat Government of 4 IPS Officers from Additional DG to DG, now total there are 7 DG rank of IPS Officers in the state.

Earlier 3 DG were Shivanand Jha of Intelligence Bureau, Ahmedabad Police Commisioner AK Singh and Incharge DGP Pramod Kumar.
