In Ahmedabad, Gujarat High Court conducted hearing on the issue of admission poor children under RTE act into schools, High Court observed, ” rich children are admitted in place of poor are getting into the seats on RTE. State government clarified that 5693 requests for access have been received by them out of which 1824 have been rejected and 4954 qualificatying requests have been processed against which 3000 children have been admitted and remaining will be children enrolled in 15 days. The court upheld the plea and gave time upto August 12 to complete admission process.
The applicantion was submitted in HC that, in place of poor children, children from wealthy families enrolled under RTE.
