Yesterday Gujarat Health Minister Rushikesh Patel stated that state government has decided to hike monthly salaries of contractual medical teachers by 30 % to 55 %.
The decision has been made to address dearth of medical professionals in government hospitals affiliated with medical colleges. The salary hike will help to retain more qualified doctors and teachers in these institutions, helping to improve healthcare services across the state feels health minister.
