30 kids die in 48 hours at a hospital in Gorakhpur

The oxygen supply at the Gorakhpur hospital was allegedly stopped as the suppliers’ outstanding bill of Rs 69 lakhs was not cleared.  At least 30 kids died since Thursday in Gorakhpur’s Baba Raghav Das Medical College amid allegations that a private contractor stopped supplying oxygen over non-payment of dues.

However, UP Uttar Pradesh government denies deaths due to oxygen supply cut. The hospital’s Chief Medical Superintendent denied reports of kids died due to insufficient oxygen supply.
