Today Chhattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh and his colleagues will trainĀ get training from The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad . Gujarat’s top bureaucrats will also attend the training programme at IIM-A renowned Management Institute.
“Our aim is to learn and reinforce insights about latest management practices as time demands that we stay updated,” Singh said, while speaking at the fourth convocation ceremony of the Indian Institute of Management, Raipur, said today.
Raman Singh said that as learning and capacity-building have to be a continuous process, he and his cabinet colleagues had attended a training programme at the Indian School of Business (ISB) immediately after his party came to power for the 1st time in December 2003.
Singh may be the 1st CM to train at IIM-A. In the past, Kerala CM Oommen Chandy, along with 19 ministers, spent a day at IIM-Kozhikode to learn a few things about managing their state, people and themselves.
IIM-A to provide training under the institute’s executive education programme.
