Gandhinagar:Gujarat government took an important decision regarding recruitment in 4 agricultural universities of the state. It was announced that 2197 posts of various cadres of four agricultural universities and Kamdhenu University of the state will be filled immediately. This decision was taken in a meeting of Chancellors of Agricultural Universities and Kamdhenu University.
Agriculture Minister Raghavji Patel said in the announcement that state government is constantly striving to provide youth of the state with benefit of doing public welfare work through government service. As a part of this, state government has taken an important decision to fill up 2197 posts of various cadres in four agricultural universities of Gujarat and Kamdhenu University.

In the meeting, performance of admission to polytechnic, graduate and post-graduate courses of various disciplines conducted in the universities during current year was reviewed.
He added that 853 academic and 1344 non-academic posts of various cadres of the state’s four agricultural universities and Kamdhenu University will be started immediately to fill up a total of 2197 posts. So that various courses, research, training etc. run by the agricultural universities and Kamdhenu University in Gujarat will be accelerated, quality seeds, saplings, cuttings etc. will be easily available to the farmers and solving the problems of the farmers will be hastened up. During the meeting, Agriculture Minister particularly emphasized on the agricultural universities to make intensive efforts in interest of farmers and agriculture and carry out research.
