Today evening incident of big fire reported at Maha Kumbh Mela in which 20 tents were engulfed. There was no report of any casualty from the site. The fire has been extinguished, and there is no information about any casualty.

The situation was reported to be under control as per Prayagraj District Magistrate. Doubting that a cylinder blast may have caused the fire, the Mela management removed all gas cylinders from the affected area to prevent further fire escalation.
