Today Kunvarjibhai Bavaliya Cabinet Minister for Water Resources and Water Supply, Food, Civil Supply and Consumer Protection Affairs – Gujarat Government held a press conference in Gandhinagar and briefed by E-KYC Process, availability of Aadhar Kits. Ease of using Mobile App facility from Home, statistics of Citizens undergone E-KYC in Gujarat and present status of the activity.
Supply Department Teams Continuously Working rapidly for E-KYC : Till now E-KYC done for 2.75 Crore Citizens stated Food-Civil Supplies Minister Shri Kunvarjibhai Bavaliya
- Currently 4,376 Aadhaar Kits operational in the State
- More 1,000 New Kits will be activated
- E-KYC can be done using Mobile through ‘My-Ration App’ from Home
- For Citizens of Gujarat E-KYC can be done easily and quickly
Supply department teams are continuously on E-KYC activities. Two officials are continuously monitoring the arrangement. In Gujarat, 1.38 crore citizens have been E-KYCed through the My-Ration App by sitting at home, whereas 1.07 crore citizens have been E-KYCed through VCE at Gram Panchayat level.
Thus, E-KYC of more than 2.75 crore Citizens in the state have been successfully completed till now using ‘My-Ration App’, Gram Panchayat, Janseva Kendras, Post Office, Bank, Anganwadi etc. informed Bavaliya.
The Minister further added that at present there are 546 Aadhaar Kits in the State, 506 in the Gram Panchayats, 226 in the Education Department, 311 in the Anganwadis and 2,787 in the Post office-Bank, making a total of 4,376.
New 1,000 Aadhaar Kits are planned to be operationalization to facilitate citizens in E-KYC process. Minister Shri Kunwarjibhai said that E-KYC is done by the Supply Department but its entire basis relies on UID, Aadhaar Card.
