TRB Traffic Regulation Brigade employees working in traffic department across the state in Ahmedabad will go on strike from tomorrow Monday, TRB employees across state including Ahmedabad demand for salary increase upto Rs. 500 as against current salary of Rs. 300 per day. TRB jawans caution state administration. In Ahmedabad, 1600 TRB jawans will not work at traffic points and will gather at designated place and go on strike. In Ahmedabad also, traffic TRB jawans will give application form to the collector office.
In November 2023, the Gujarat police announced a decision to relieve 6,300 TRB personnel out of a total of 9,000. The decision was made to make way for new recruits. The personnel with 10 years of service were to be relieved on November 30, those with 5 years on December 31, and those with 3 years on March 31, 2024.
