Gujarat State FDCA Food and Drug Control Authority raid at suspected Cheese and Paneer trader in Ahmedabad. Approximately 1500 kg worth Rs 3.15 lakhs adulterated cheese and ingredients used to make it were seized from a dairy in Ahmedabad. FDCA is committed to ensuring that citizens of the state of Gujarat get hygeinic and clean food. The authority is taking strict legal action against those who manufacture adulterated or duplicate food in the state. On 4th February based on a tip received by FDCA Gandhinagar a raid was conducted Flying Squad at Shri Dwarkesh Dairy Products, near Adarsh School, Kubernagar area of Ahmedabad city. Information received was about suspicious and adulterated Cheese production. During detailed investigation by the agency atShri Dwarkesh Dairy Products, Ahmedabad, the dairy was licensed with license number 10723026000784 and Palmolein Oil and Industrial Grade Acetic Acid were found along with the cheese from the place. Total 3 samples of Cheese, 1 of Palm Oil and 1 of Industrial Grade Glacial Acetic Acid (99.85%) were taken from the person of dairy Jignesh Budhabhai Barot.

Where as remaining 1500 kg quantity was seized on the spot to prevent it from reaching the public. FDCA, Gandhinagar has succeeded in preventing Adulterated Cheese from being sold to people. It has spread panic among the adulterated food traders. Since the food items seized are primarily unhealthy, further legal action will be taken as per rules after the Analysis Report is received by FDCA.
