Gujarat Government is committed to protect people against Covid and preserve their health. State Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister are constantly getting update on the situation in Vadodara and are giving their support to strengthening of treatment facilities. Minister of State for Narmada Development Yogesh Patel and local MPs, MLAs and office bearers including Vadodara Mayor are giving guidance and cooperation to Dr. Vinod Rao, Special Duty Officer and Education Secretary in meeting growing demand for beds. Construction of two new temporary hospitals with large facilities has made it possible to increase the capacity of 1500 beds for inpatients and reduce the burden on the two major government hospitals in the city.
The 500-bed Covid Hospital at Atladra’s Yagnapurush site is partially operational as a sub-hospital or satellite hospital . ICU and ventilators are planned to work. Semi air conditioning has been undertaken to facilitate investment for patients. The key form of oxygen is important in the treatment of Covid. A liquid oxygen storage tank has been constructed corresponding to it. Place of discourse which was till yesterday has become a sanctuary today due to support of government and help of the saints. As many as 134 patients were admitted here on Friday and 23 patients who have recovered so far have been discharged.
Similarly, huge Samaras Hostel is being converted into a Samaras Covid Hospital as a satellite hospital of the largest Sayaji Hospital in Central Gujarat. The facility was planned but now it has been decided to have 1000 beds. In the first phase, preparations have been made to operate 400 beds and process of admitting patients is underway. There are 650 oxygen beds, 50 ICU beds and 300 non-oxygen beds. Planning to have a bed. Facilities like oxygen storage tanks, pipelines, vaporizer units have also been set up here.
