138th Rath Yatra enroutes Ahmedabad; worshipers gather to catch glimpse of lord Jagannathji

Today on auspicious day of Aashadhi Bij 138th Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath will enroute Ahmedabad city. Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel sweeped with golden broom and performed Pa Hind ceremony at Jagannath temple. BJP president Amit Shah and Ahmedaad Mayor Minakshiben were present in the temple during Aarti of Jagannathi.  Amit Shah for past 13 years  gets blessings of morning Mangala Aarti.  Prasad was offered to Lord Jagannath.

Today morning Dilipadasaji Mahant Maharaj removed blindfold from lord Jagannath. Also Lord Jagannath was decorated with elegant apparel, sister Shubhadraji and Balabhadraji were seated in a chariot.

It is believed that lord Jagannath walks down to meet their citizens. In first chariot Balbhadraji, in seocnd chariot Shubhadraji and the finally Lord Jagannathji is seated in chariot. All the three chariots are pulled by worshipers present in the yatra.

Worshipers turn up in big crowd to catch glimpse of  lord Jagannathji and rush for prasad.

Prasad distribution started from earl;y morning 4 o clock of Khichadi and Guvar. In Rath Yatra there is a fleet 101 trucks, and 18 Gajraajs.

Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel due to security reasons could not go to Saraspur which is considered to be Maternal house for Mameru ceremony.

20,000 security pesonnal have been deployed, amid tight security with arrangement of prasad distribution and preparation. Arrangement for Prasad for 2 lakh worshipers. 10 lakh worshipers will take Darshan. In Saraspur Prasad Bhojan in 15 poles. 30 Bhajan Mandalis in Rath Yatra.

Prasad of 20,000 kg of Mung, 500 kg of Jamun , 300 Kg Cucumber and Pomegranate for worshipers.

Worshipers shout slogans “Hathi Ghoda Palkhi..Jai Kanhaiya Lalki..” with great festivity and enthusiam.
