Today Western Railway PRO Public Relations Officer Pradeep Sharma informed that to cater to Diwali Rush and many people going out during Diwali vacation to far distance places for tourism or social reasons, department has announced to run 13 Special Trains.
Also, extra coaches would be fixed in a few existing trains.
A list of Special Trains would include enroute
- Hapa – Kolkata
- Okha – Bandra
- Ahmedabad – Chennai
- Gandhidham – Mumbai
- Ahmedabad – Delhi
- Mumbai – Delhi
The existing trains that would have extra boggies would be
- Mumbai-Jaisalmer-Palitana
- Gorakhpur-Patna-Howrah
- Bandra-Jammu_tavi.
Special Trains would have special fare.
People normally book 3 months in advance for Diwali trip.
PRO Sharma talking about modus operandi of black marketrs said that they book Railway Tickets 3 months in advance and later come for transfer of passenger name on popular destinations , later try to pocket handsome money from passenger.
