Today, at least 10 women including mother and sister of Hardik Patel were detained by police while they were trying to forcefully enter the place of a public meeting of chief minister Anandiben Patel in Viramgam, the home town of the Patidar leader. ‘We have detained around 10 women who were trying to forcefully enter the venue,’ Viramgam police station in-charge said claiming that the identity of the detained women, who will be left soon has not yet been ascertained. ‘I am not sure whether Hardik’s mother and sister were among those detained. In any case we will release them soon,’ he said.
